Join our team
Join the bench.
Painter Works runs on a bench of independent writers, editors, researchers, designers, and production specialists. If you do careful work and hit your deadlines, we'd like to hear from you.
How it works
- All work is freelance, assigned project by project.
- Assignments come with clear specifications, a style guide, and a deadline.
- You'll be paid per assignment, at a rate agreed before work begins.
- We keep your details on file and get in touch when a project fits your skills.
Who we're looking for
Researchers, writers, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, designers, illustrators, and production and accessibility specialists. Reference and publishing experience is a plus, but not required.
Painter Works welcomes contributors of every background.
